Unknown substance sickens dozens in Newark

An unknown substance wafted through a Newark apartment building, sending at least 29 people to the hospital. Emergency responders were called around 11:25 a.m. to the six-family building at 521 S. 17th St. after residents complained of light headedness, sore throats and itchy eyes. The building was evacuated. (Video by John O’Boyle)

Competing for Lightning Wheels

Over two dozen athletes compete for Lightning Wheels, a team of disabled athletes from Children’s Specialized Hospital. Three athletes who have graduated from the program will compete in the upcoming Paralympics in Beijing, China. The team will also host the National Junior Disability Championships at Rutgers University on July 20-26. (Video by John O’Boyle /The Star-Ledger)
